George Cochran, CPYB

A true boating enthusiast, George started out his career doing a variety of marine-related jobs including marine surveying, engineering, managing the University of Rhode Island Foundation boats, and acting as service manager for Brewer Yacht Yard at Cowesett in Warwick, Rhode Island. 

In 2006, he joined the team at Legacy Yachts where he conducted direct retail sales and offered complete pre-owned yacht brokerage services. During his first year, he earned the title of “Broker of the Year.”  Next he moved to a brokerage office in Barrington, where he recorded the highest selling price for any yacht ever sold by that company and earned the “Single Largest Commission” award. 

George holds a degree from Roger Williams University in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Small Craft Design, is a member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America and is a Ce=rtified Professional Yacht Broker. He is a member of the American Power Boat Association, US Sailing, Off Soundings Club, Mystic River Mudhead Sailing Association, and Saunderstown Yacht Club, and also serves as a Director with the Rhode Island Marine Trade Association.
