Santa & Mrs. Claus are arriving onboard the Coastal Queen on Saturday, December 4 at 1 pm and then are proceeding up to 20 Narragansett Avenue to visit with the children at the Conanicut Marine Gift Shop.
Each tour ventures off the beaten path to at least six independent restaurants. Guests can sample creative foods featuring local ingredients, learn about the chef’s background and food philosophy, and get a glimpse of the city’s food scene.
The Museum of Newport History & Shop, located on Washington Square at 127 Thames Street in the 1763 Brick Market, is available to visit Tuesday through Friday 11am-3pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am-1pm. The Candy Cane Express Cruise is holiday fun for the kids! The boat ride will cruise about Newport Harbor and the Bay to see the festive lights and scenery. On the Nov. 28 cruise, Mrs. Claus will read to the kids and on Dec. 4 a Christmas elf will read to the kids, all while hot chocolate is being served. The boat will be cozy and warm with its weatherproof interior. A candy cane will be given to each child as they depart the boat. On Nov. 28 the boat departs at 3pm and on Dec. 4 the boat departs at 10:30 and 1:45pm.
